Allo :) It\'s me again. Always full of questions :)

Since I\'m lacking funds (still) to do the engine rebuild itself I\'m tinkering with the rest of the car to get it all ready.

So what I\'m asking is... How do I take the roof off on a TII Cab? I don\'t mean lower it, I know how to do that :p

Also, is the mechanism for the roof easy to remove? Could someone tell me how to remove that too? :)

Sorry for always asking questions, I\'m a bit of a noob when it comes to a lot of this stuff and I\'ve never tried to do anything with a cab roof before and don\'t want to damage it any more than it already is.

Thanks in advance :)

You need to remove the parcel shelf/tray thing - that hides the spare wheel.  Then take off the trim pieces at the top/back of the doors - that should get you access to the roof motors.  There are a couple of bolts that undo the roof mechanism for the motors.

Then there are a pair of brackets at the back of the roof - they will be under the liner at the back - they need to be undo - think they are 10mm.

Then you\'ve to undo all the studs around the outside edge of the bottom of the roof.  It\'s a while since I did this on Charlie\'s old vert - so I may have forgotten something.

Oh - yes - don\'t forget the 2 wires that connect the rear heated screen :)

Thanks Prof :)

I\'ll probably give that a look tomorrow if it\'s not too cold in the garage (Had ice on the FC today!)

I\'ve already taken off the shelf/cover thing as I thought that was probably a needed step, but couldn\'t see where to go from there :)

Don\'t think I\'ll be able to do it until later on now though, since I have such a narrow garage I can\'t open the passenger side door at all, but I can at least have a look at the drivers side and see what needs to be done :)

It\'s all shown in here http://www.cochran-racing.com/FSM/s5/14_Body.pdf

probably in too much detail (makes everything sound like a mission, until you start the job and realise its a piece of cake!!):)

Thanks for the link :)

I\'ll probably write my own guide with pictures as I do things (as I am for everything else) for other peoples reference (and my own when I forget how/what I did)
