Well guys, MOT time was on Saturday so popped over to see Pip and Dave for coolant change as well.

Faultless service as always, Rexy passed with flying colours again, apart from projectors needing a bit of adjusting. Coffee and toast always an added bit of customer service.

Anyhoo, though\'t i\'d get a comp test done while I was there just for piece of mind. Has her for two years - 26k miles into a full WGT rebuild:

Front: 7.85 7.80 7.80
Rear: 8.10 8.10 7.85

To say I was ecstatic is an understatement! Was running round the workshop goal celebration-stylee!!

It has to be said, Pip might be a bit on the pricey side but he certainly knows his stuff!!!

I didn\'t think their hourly rate for such work was out of the park (or wasn\'t that I remember), and they are nothing if not quick and efficient at turnarounds.  

What was the damage?

All in, including MOT it was £200 or so.

I was meaning rebuild work Stace, the receipts for mine were just shy of £5k (including turbo rebuild admittedly).

Well while it\'s a chunk we don\'t know how many new parts that included of course.

Where you have a parts and labour cost it\'s easier to compare like with like I guess.  

In terms of the service, mot, coolant, fiddling and coffee and toast, £200 sounds pretty good.

It\'s where you\'re being charged a notional amount for black arts or intellectual property that things start to get sticky. Then you\'re into valuations akin modern art or desirability. Tis why I insist on bhp targets for motors depending on application - measurable success criteria. As opposed to words like "punchy", "sharp", "more pull" etc.

agree 100% Stace, I was more than happy with the total!! But even happier with the compression results!!

wow pretty good comp results, whats the specs? oil etc, you must be doing something right lol

Mildly tuned, 307bhp: PFC, Super Dragger cat back, decatted, Blitz intakes, Blitz dump valve, turbo timer and boost controller.

Oil and filter done every 3-5k, sparks every 2nd oil change. no premix (although im gonna start). Daily driver
