just had another mot after fixing the bits that it failed on last time lol, im running e85 to get it through the mot but the co2 was still to high i havent had the fuel in long only put it in before the mot and only ran the car up the road and to the mot place so thinging its not in the system fully yet???

And at the worse timeing my 4w abs light decide to come on duing the mot test what are the odds, what does this mean??? and what do i need to check the guy thought something may of come loose while he was checking the wheels?

greatfull for all help

i\'m not too sure about e85, but on 99ron you\'ll never get an rx7 through the standard MOT. what year is the car? if it\'s pre 1995 it has to be tested as a non-cat test.

sorted everything part from the emmisions dam it, here are my readings

first time it failed

co2 should be 3.50% i got 5.57%
hc   should be 1200ppm i got 1325ppm

put it through for a new test today and got

co2 4.44% fail
hc   0945ppm so pass

so the e85 fuel has bought it down, if i put more in will it clear i read about the e85 on here somewhere but cant find it now any1 else done this?

Carl i emailed you awhile ago about a service and stuff if i can get it moted on the retest i will be booking up with u soon, any ideas how to bring it down another 1.00%???

Does it have a cat?
Is it on a power FC?
Does it have an airpump?

It should go through but the airpump may have been disconnected electrically, check the grey plug, the readinsg are way to high for the setup you have. Also if pump is working(Clutch on front engaging)which it should do just off idle up to 3000rpm then cat maybe bad.

My FC running a chipped ECU and an air pump gave a reading of 0.45%CO, so there must be something up lol

Unburnt fuel will kill the cat yes, mine passed with the CO of 0.45% with only the air pump, mines decatted :)

A new set of plugs wont go a miss if you haven\'t replaced them lately. I have a spare cat kicking about but you might get one a bit more local.

checked the air pump everything seems fine i can here the clutch engaging around 3000rpm so guess its the cat

how much u want for for cat posted philiwily??

HaywardRotary

Airpump Clutch should disengage at 3000rpm,it should be engaged below that.
Is O2 sensor connected?

Quote from: franky;656044where is the 02 sensor?

In the exhaust downpipe,it is a sensor with one black wire coming from it that goes to behind the plenum.
