Does anyone know where I can get the rubber suspension bushes for my series 3.
The bushes on my car are very hard and cracked and contribute to the jarring ride. I am going to replace them but would rather use rubber than poly, unless the rubber items aren\'t available.

I\'m going to start at the back of the car. Are rubber bushes for the upper and lower trailing arms available, some posts on the net seem to suggest that only the arm is available complete with new bushes?

Any ideas???

Cheers,
Ian

You can get them from USA. http://mrcmfg.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=112_41_91

I\'m running them on my FB and have been very happy !

Thanks Shaun,
I\'ll go down the poly bush route if I can\'t get rubber but really I\'d prefer to fit rubber bushes.

Call Carl Hayward at Hayward Rotary, I have had some of the rear suspension bushes (rubber) changed recently by Carl

Certainly Mazda sell the whole arms complete (I learnt this to my cost), but as an alternative a soft grade of nylon would work maybe? Just don\'t nylon the whole thing..

As mentioned Carl has probably pressed some out of old arms, so that might be an alternative.

You sure they are slack enough to be jarring the ride? They only locate the axle.. Sure you\'re dampers/springs and vertical bushes are ok?

To be fair, to describe it as \'jarring\' is maybe a bit wide of the mark but the bushes are very old and perished and the suspension doesn\'t seem to be as tight but compliant as I remember from my previous 1st gens. Not that the car doen\'t drive well, just that it\'s not as sharp as I reckon it should be.
I suppose this is only to be expected as the car is 24 years old and my previous 1st gens were only 4yrs and 8 yrs old respectively, plus I\'m used to my modern car with CATs suspension and modern technology.
I\'m intending to replace the rear springs and shocks together with the bushes. The original factory setup handles just fine for road use but after 24 years, my car needs
a few new bits to get it back to that point.
My question about the trailing arms was cause I\'ve only seen ads for them as complete new units, rather than just the bushes, but yes you\'re right, the shocks and springs are probably just as much in need of replacement.
