Nice one fella\'s!!! Deep into the 12\'s!!

Unfortunately I had no joy today, only did two runs, first warm up one 12.61, second one messed up well and truly. Then the queues got huge, and I had to leave at 1.00.

I wish the day had not been so busy, I might have had more luck after a few more runs, until next time then :(

Regards

Max

Well Done Tim, Ant ( with your own engine) and Max but what times did Steve C do?

Tim all my runs are on page 7 of this thread

But  Details from the quicker run are as follows

Reaction / .667 [ I\'m getting old ]

60ft / 1.831

330ft / 5.098

1/8th ET / 7.809

1/8th mph / 88.71

1/4 ET / 12.207

1/4mph / 111.71

You should easily beat this next time out though, :wave
All the best Clive

I havent stopped grinning yet,  i am running a conservative map at 14psi so i can go a little more.

Not bad for my first run on my my engine build!

Thanks Jason (JAYDEE) for mapping on saturday morning, ready for the pod. You did a great job, and thanks for the loan of your Twin power.

Could someone please add me to the list, ......please...please..please....
Single turbo FD TO4E, built by me and tuned by Jason JayDee.

Well done Tony, we will have to meet up soon to finish it off, you are missing quite alot of power, by what I have found in your tuning logs  ;)

Get rid of those ditch finders:rollin  and you should have an high 11 sec car next time.

Looked a totally different ball game on slicks mate! I think a fair amount of practise is required to get using them down to a tee. The fact that u beat your best time on d01j\'s on your first run with no burnout out and the rear end jumping up and down suggests you\'ll cruise into the 11s. After taking the pressures down that bit the side walls still seemed to have fairly minimal give in them still, I guess you learn by experience - we\'ll have a better starting point next time.

All in I think both guys acquited them selves pretty well for their first outing on slicks - I can imagine its a totally different ball game! Especially Tim though - hats off matey! Equalled his best time on street tyres of 13.1 on his first run and went on to take nearly a second off that over the course of the day! That was some feat just to manage 3 or 4 more runs considering the ques and organisation were the worst I\'ve seen at that place - I really hope Shakespear is a more professional setup :( Max struggled to get 2 runs in between 9.30 and about 1. Considering they are meant to sign on a max of 200 cars? Yeah, right....

Still that poor guy in his Noble on the way up made me laugh :D Thought he\'d kill a couple of FD\'s - picked on the wrong one though! Found himself with a silver FD attached to his arse and just had to pull over and admit defeat in the end - good flamage bud! :rollin :rollin

Oh, the satisfaction of that \'almost\' made up for Pod mate!

I\'ve just had a good chuckle reading this:

NOBLE M12 GTO

Britain\'s best sports car?
0-60 mph in 3.9 seconds, 160 mph - so said Autocar in pre-viewing their full road test of the M12 GTO.

Autocar continued, "The M12\'s standing start acceleration is only just on the comfortable side of sane. If you pay the right money there are faster cars out there. But only a few. But none matches the drama of the M12. At the price the M12 would be considered a fantastic bargain on its sprinting ability alone. And perhaps if that were all there was to it, every other specialist sports car manufacturer with a product hovering around the mid - 40 grand mark could settle down for a solid night\'s slumber. But the M12 is more than merely quick. Isolate this machines two most crucial tasks, delivering straight - line performance and cornering ability and its difficult to say which it does better.

In short the Noble M12 is blessed with a peach of a chassis. Perhaps this cars most astonishing feature is outright grip. Mechanical grip in the dry is staggering and I have never driven a road car with stronger wet weather adhesion. It truly is astonishing."

And Max says - "And you STILL got yer ass wooped"

Yes,12.5 and a 12.4,then 12.266,and more to come with better boost control, and better launches.Clive, what was your best 60ft time? mine was 2 seconds.Brian, where were you?I had 8 runs and beat everything that went beside me,including Ross from \'Dragon\' in his customers Toyota supra! Please someone update the 1/4 mile table, please, please.

Well done Tim,

I was in bed:D  nO when I left from mapping down by you the other day, at 5,000 rpm in 3rd I had a mis and blew the fuse for all the electronic gauges I was telling you about. I left Bolney and at 5,000 rpm in 3rd same mis but this time no blown fuses. So until I sort this out I thought best not to go pod. I suspect it maybe something to do with the apexi. I think the boost settings is lower than what I have on the boost controller, so it\'s boost cut I experience at 5,000 rpm in 3rd. I will take the car out on the motorway for some more mapping and will make sure the boost setting on the apexi is higher than that if the boost controller and it will atleast eliminate this as being at fault. If not I have a grounding issue with some wire. I will be at pod on the 3rd of May though you coming??

Excellent work Tim!

I took one look out the window this morning and thought there was no way that Pod would be dry enough to run today.

Glad you proved me wrong!
