As for joining, Mr. 7, there\'s a link to the shop at the top of the page, just follow that and buy a membership. Although they usually get renewed in the new year, you may wanna email Lisa and see if you should wait till January so as not to pay for a full years\' membership that only lasts two months IYSWIM

Welcome aboard, anyway, this site is the fount of all rotary knowledge lol :D And full of tolerant, friendly helpful types too :Thumbs-upRemember, there are no stupid questions, only silly answers :rollin

Just had a read of your other thread. 4k on an FD is either gonna get you something already blown or a reasonable car but one that\'ll still need work.
Not having a dig at anyone but I wish buyers would look past the engine and realise that they\'re buying a car and not just an engine. The amount of times i see cars advertised as rebuilt and then when you get there, the rest of the car is a heap - there\'s lots of other things that make a good FD; suspension bushes (especially rear pillowballs), transmission mounts, rattle free interiors, factory shut-lines even on "kitted" examples. The point im making is - a rebuild doesnt neccesarily make a good car - thats why theres so much variance in price (as per your last thread)

Not owning an Fd personally, (alright, I work on one all the ....ing time, its just not mine),if I was going to buy a performance car that was affordable- I\'d have a GTR but I\'m penniless(got a Mustang though)!!!!!!-{then I would have to consider what it looks like first and foremost, Impreza? Take the body kit off it and its just a butt ugly saloon car. Ideal for drug dealers but certainly not owt different is it?} { Skyline, again its not an attractive car is it?Its also a fat ........} {  Evo? Yep, nice car without a doubt, and a little bit different.} { RX7FD. I personally think it is one of the most attractive sports cars the japanese have ever designed and reliability issues are usually attributed to the engine being entirely different to anything else, critics don\'t understand the rotary therefore it must be unreliable}. {Speak to either Carl or Clive, these are the only two guys I personally have spoken to at length and can recommend their enthusiasm and knowledge, they are also the nearest to me in Huddersfield-Carls 201miles away and refuses to move nearer to civilisation.} {Just in case anyone wants to know why I keep putting these {} in, they indicate the beginning and end of paragraphs, I don\'t want people to think I ignore their helpful comments!!!!!!} private joke-see \'porting gurus\').

Quote from: rx7boy;651741I have had an engine rebuilt by Steve Rivett, Cant fault any of his work and has a very personal service, His prices are a bit cheaper than the well known builders. Depending on where your based he ight be closest to you. drop me an email if you want his details.

mines with steve at the moment getting built, we are going for massive ports, hes gonna go bigger than his normal ports to see what sort of power we can make(500bhp plus), awesome bloke, but never try and call him to have a 5min conversation, you can never get him off the phone as he is so enthusiastic, proper lover of what he does

Have owned 5 Skylines and 3 RX7\'s,

To use as a more daily car and something with room the Skyline R33 GTR is the better buy, but it more boring and less of an engaging drive than the RX7.

The rx7\'s are not brill for everyday use (depending on level of tune) and dont have a great deal of room BUT the drive is absolutely awesome, by far the best drivers car i have driven.

Also have owned 2 Evo\'s and a Escort Cosworth, for driver grin factor the RX7 is best by far :Laugh
