I have another quick question...

Are there any silly things worth checking first, as I dont seem to be getting a spark.  Fuses, relays, connectors?  It\'s a stock 94 FD.

Not part of the imobilizer in the alarm sytstem is it?
sorry if its a dumb reply.
I take it you get ign. lights on the dash.

No at all.  All is go apart from a spark!  Have all lights/instruments, and turning over.  Seems the coils are under the throttle body, so I guess that\'ll be coming off! :reallymad

Hi Mr Weasle,
Before taking off the manifold, make sure that the plugs are clean. Take em out and give em a good clean using a wire brush and brake cleaner. If there is too much carbon on the plugs, the spark won´t arc effectively enough.
Hope this helps,

I\'ve got a brand new set of 7 and 9s in there, but thats not the problem...  Ive put a strobe light on the HT leads to see if there\'s any juice getting to the plugs, none though.  Even tried a spare plug on top the engine to try and actually see a spark.  Still nothing.

Tee hee!!  Someone from the time it was dropped at a bodyshop, to the time it got to me, had disconnected the ignition module on the right hand side of the engine bay.  They\'d even sfuffed it behind the module itself, making it look and feel like it was connected!!

Ok, plugged it back in, turned the key, and filled the street with lovely blue smoke!!! Must have been all the oil I\'d put in the sparkplug holes the other day to help the compression!!

She\'s outside spluttering away to herself now.

It was such a simple thing.  Thanks for your support during me desparate time.
