Welcome to MRC Tom,

I know its a long trek for you but your great looking car would be a welcome addition to the club stand at the Jap Show finale in a few weeks time, first black Mazdaspeed kitted RX-8 I\'ve seen, looks good :Thumbs-up
All the best Clive

As the others have said nice looking 8 (and your girlfriends pretty tasty too :Tongue1) I\'ve seen a few MazdaSpeed 8s about (including a black one) but they do look nice especially in black.  Not sold on the carbon fibre look myself but it\'s well worth lowering it I\'ve lowered mine just got to be a bit careful over speed bumps when I\'ve people in the back :( . Wheels look nice a bit different to the mazdaspeed ones.
As for engine mods there isn\'t a lot you can do to get much more power with out either a turbo or supercharger.

Very nice :D

The carbon fibre bootlid and bonnet will be a nice addition to the car, although you may have a bit of a hard time getting it all the "shine" the same. On a black car carbon fibre can sometimes out-shine the rest of the car and make it look dull, so make sure to use expensive wax on the body :)

Great lookin pic\'s, very proffesional lookin I must say. Car looks great, not a fan of heavy tints but the Black on Black compliments well and thats some pretty deep dish action you got going on there - Top stuff

Hello people.

I havnt posted for a while as iv been very busy with the car.

You may have noticed that part of my plan was to eventually go FI. Well the opportunity appeared, so I thought ahhh hell and went ahead with it!

I managed to acquire a second hand Greddy T6 kit with an uprated HKS ecu piggy back unit, and fitted it with a couple of friends in my mates lock up. I must say, it wasnt the easiest of tasks iv undertaken, the manifold is an absolute ass to get out, with things getting much worse when it came to fitting the new exhaust and turbo assembly :(

However after two days of solid graft a lot of head scratching and several attempts to burn the greddy instructions we got there in the end :)

and after a couple of oil leaks, a vacumn leak, and a manifold crack :( she\'s now running sweet as a nut :D

Dyno @ time of fitment:

245 bhp
193 lb/ft torque

These figures arnt dramatic, however the car ran 24bhp off stock before hand. Since then Iv replaced the plugs and leads with a new NGK set from mazda rotary parts and the car seems much more responsive.

Also the set up is running a mere 6psi atm, so im very happy for the stage im at :)

So where do I go from here?

* I have a Greddy types RS BOV replica. I need to get round to fitting it with the bnew flange before remap.
* Apexi AVC-R boost controller (havnt a clue where to fit it lol)
* De-cat pipe
* Turbo timer
* Guages
* new cone filter
* Re-map to full boost set up with settings for de-cat

Plus all the other things I posted about before.

Very happy with how the project has turned out so far. Still plenty to be cracking on with and im hoping to be ready well in time foe the shows / track days etc :D

Any questions or comments much welcomed.

Needs to be done by a Mod - what do you want to change it to?
