If we are to get in the 11\'s, then this would seem the way to go, as long as it is safe!  Does anyone have any knowledge or technical info about Nos on a rotary.
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

Which is why you mentioned it Tim ;)

You are a tease :rollin

But the way you are going, it\'ll get an 11 second run with it!

So according to that guy NOS on a turbo rotary is a very bad idea.

Is anyone actually running NOS ?

Dont be silly, hes only and actor!!! You need to tap up the owner of the red FD in question! Maybe getting hold of the film company will yield better results!!

Ill get me coat now!! :D

ive heard that nitrous on a turbo is not a good idea let alone on the rotary engine, there is a company called nx that offers a nitrous intercooler kit which can increase the power about 50 hp purely by spraying nos straight onto the intercooledr, cooling the charge air loads!  that is the only kit i would suggest on the rotary because it wont put anymore strain on the engine!  regards dave

it does the same on all cars its on.  decreases engine life, increases engine wear, makes car go faster :D

i say bigger the engine, safer the nos, and 1.3 aint that big.

NOS is for dragging. You can use it on a road car but if you press the button all the time you engine will go bang. That stands for a 1.3 or a 5L V8. NOS is works very well if the system is well set up, you can have wet mixture NOS that adds extra fuel so detonation is not so much of a problem. I have seen NOS on various turbo cars. Just about to fit a direct port NOS system to our Skyline and thats got 2 turbos.

I did some readin on this a while ago. From what I learned Wet nitrous is for turbo cars, dry nitrous is for for N/A cars and the larger the cc the longer the engine life expectancy. However it\'ll kill any engine quicker than normall

If this is a load of bollox, please feel free to erase this nonsense!

Is this on a car with good intercooling? I think some of the nos must have found its way into the intake.

The system actully uses carbon dioxide (CO2) to spray on to the intercooler. It is a nitrous free system.

You can use the purge soleniod to do the same thing if you have NOS. Just before you make a run on the stip, it does the same job as the CO2.

The reson for the hp increase is the cooler the charge air temp the denser the air will be which gives you a better combustion. This is why you allways run good track times on a cool day.
