Hi Mark,

Real real sorry but the combination of bad starting then clearing / water under the car plus blowing hoses off  means all the symptoms of seal failure i\'m afraid, sorry  http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fwww.smileycentral.com%252F%253Fpartner%253DZSzeb008%255FZSYYYYYYYYGB%2526i%253D36%252F36%255F19%255F5%2526feat%253Dprof/page.html" target="_blank">http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/36/36_19_5.gif" alt="SmileyCentral.com" border="0">http://plugin.smileycentral.com/http%253A%252F%252Fimgfarm%252Ecom%252Fimages%252Fnocache%252Ftr%252Ffw%252Fsmiley%252Fsocial%252Egif%253Fi%253D36%252F36_19_5%2526uiv%253D3.0/image.gif">

1993 FD3S - Street port, Decat, Apexi FC, Apexi Induction - Engine rebuilt and installed by Hayward Rotary, too fast for the mean streets of Croydon !

Spoke to Hayward Rotary and  i\'ll be booking it in there, very reasonable price...

Sounds like a coolant seal to me.  Mine exhibited very similiar symptons.  Mine would start fine, but after shutting it off the coolant would leak out the overflow bottle.  Would fill it again, car ran fine.  But when sutdown same thing.

Well, it\'s all booked in, dropping it off on Monday, gonna have it street ported too so i have a bit of flexibility with what direction i take the car in next. When it comes out in a months time or so i\'ll be looking to fix the bodywork again, need two front wings and a nose cone, i love this car but think a crack habit would be easier to finance !!!

mark-ashley

You\'ll see mine when you come to pick yours up, it\'s a rather sad looking FD at the moment, nose cone has been smashed again so on the look out for a new one !

At least your body work is one piece, my nose cone is held together with silver gaffa tape, very sad but soon to be reolved, to be honest, i want a front end like yours but able to take the 99 spec turn lamps...

Are Hayward still doing that thing where they let you rebuild it but use their facilities and expertise? I vaguely remember Carl mumbling something about it a while back....
