Zitcoat did it arranged through WGT so I don\'t know cost sorry

Its not the cheapest option. I had my manifold, downpipe, turbo exhaust back and LIM done at a place in warrington called http://www.camcoat.u-net.com/ . Does make a big difference in heat management and keeps everything looking good !

Takes about 5wks to turn around too.

We are authorised dealers for Zircotec.  They are probably the best ceramic coaters in the market place.  They do all of our turbo housings, exhaust manifolds, inlet manifolds, and downpipes.

They also ceramic coat composite materials for F1 teams as heat shrouds for the exhausts systems, as well as for Lamborghini :)

If you want to have a quote?

Drop me an email with what you want coating, approximate lengths and diameters of any tubes.

As standard they come in performance white, but other colours are available.

For the inlet manifolds as well as adding a thermal barrier, we also add a reflective barrier to lessen heat soak

hi rex i found the zircotec web site and it looks good, i will give you a ring when i have the headers done and get a quote.

Thats gonna be an awesome build.
Please keep the pics and updates coming.

Hi, been off air for a while due to moving house and good ole BT who couldn\'t cope! Just came across this thread and thought that this may give you some ideas: It came from the following thread:

Have fun:Thumbs-up

and a bigger engine bay,  that one is pretty full and he has no intercooler , pipe work or filters.............  which ever way you look at it, the pipe work is going to be a maze...

How did you get on at fighting torque?
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

tinker-27

crap at fighting torque 175 mph with a slipping clutch and warped the pressure plate, i knew it was over its design limit but thought it might hold till the twin plate came but not so !! mar7in  did 169mph in his 5,7 fd. you are right its going to be a maze !!!!!

antnicuk

just out of interest,  whats the reason for choosing turbo over supercharger?
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

tinker-27

i have looked long and hard at the two options and the turbo makes way more power for the size, it would need to be a massive supercharger to give the power, the centrifugal blower is better power i think than screw type,i have seen both and the centrifugal makes good power and would do the job but belt slip and noise are another issue.turbos are harder to get right but should be a better job if i can control them (boost) correctly, i plan to use a emerald ecu that can have three maps with dirrerent boost and different boost in different gears, and possibly traction control (not that i think i will need it !!!!).

tinker-27

hi guys made a bit of progress over the last few weeks  here are some pics,

spec are
7.0l
all steel internals,
cnc flowed after market heads,
two gt35 turbos
emerald new type ecu with turbo control,(and traction i hope !!)

will post some more as stuff when i get time to do more

Great job you are doing, love to see quality engineering required for a successfull  engine swap.
Lead me not into temptation, I can find it myself...
But i can always do with some help now due to, my advancing years!
