weld the diff
stick my 18\'bbs alloys on
get those 35mm springs on too......(would i be a pikey if i cut the top coil off the lowering springs?) i mean the cars gonna be higher by an inch overall what with it having 1" bigger wheels ......and i love your ride height dthb!

Good man!

Remember the car may be higher by an inch, but the wheel will also sit an inch higher in the arch, so 1 inch + the 35mm. You might find that lowering + 18\'s will call for some tyre stretch and some arch rolling.

Ha cheers :D It just needs some 17\'s now!! Oh and good luck with the recovery. With a bit of luck, once you sort the leak you shouldn\'t any troubles with your ecu!!

But my car is 90% everyday driver, but there are a fair few nice quite night drives if you get my DRIFT

alxlaw

lmao! for those rainy days/roundabouts..........wat? lol!

dthebuk

I\'d use a welded diff on a daily any day. It doesn\'t make you spin out and its far more predictable than a locking diff. Only thing that people seem to have an issue with is the wheel hop when you\'re going stupidly slow, which really isn\'t a problem!

haha sweet well them consider the welded diff idea SOLD!

alxlaw

my 300 was much better in the dry could hold steady for longer and transistions were much  more solid less need in LFB

with the open diff in the rex it will go but requires so much more effort and only in the rain

dthebuk

haha, allow doing transitions on public roads. I need the rex back together so it can hit a DWYB

public roads? never :P the 300 was better then the 200 and the 180 imo for being able to comfortably sitting in drifts altho that was with a 1.5 diff

dthebuk

a 1.5 way will feel the same as any other decent decent diff whilst drifting forwards. Its just differenent for initiations and maybe transitions :D Infact i doubt you\'d notice the difference between that and a welder mid drift :D

You sure? My EGi goes quite nicely in the dry, with only a  bit of persuasion
