Hi Im looking at buying a 3rd Gen twin turbo, I was but I have a tiny budget for the car as my insurance is going to be astronomical :rollin  .

Alot of importers prices are beyond my budget of £5k, but Mr Mills might be able to help me. Any opinions on Millperformancecars???

Im looking to get one by mid summer, but Im doing my homework so that I have a Rx7 to drive after I buy it!!

I know Ill get what I pay for, but I also know the car trade well enough, to know that deals are there to be had, it jus takes more effort, an I dont have an issue with that

Can anyone recommend any other Importers who would be able to find me a car for my budget, as Ive seen a couple of posts about getting 3rd Gens for as little as £4k:eek: .

Any info or opinions are welome.

Hi!

You\'re unlikely to get an importer to supply a car for £4k as the bolk of the costs would be the importing and profit, not the value of the car.  I\'d guess (one of the importers can put me right if I\'m a mile out) but for it to be £4k landed then it\'d have to go in auction for ~2k or a bit less.  Basically it\'d be a heap of junk and would need alot spending on it (i.e. it\'s probably not be a runner).

You might get one already over here for your budget of £5k but I wouldn\'t expect it to last too long or be in great condition.  The cheapest I\'ve seen a half decent \'92 car go for is ~6.5k and that was quite high mileage.

If you\'re going to put 5k into a car you should really make sure you have the ability to put your habds on another 3k pretty quickly if the engine dies and you need a rebuild.

Of course you may be able to get TPFT insurance on a car worth < 5K which would save money.

I\'d reccomend waiting until you have a bit more spare cah to put in to the purchase really.

Can\'t comment on millsperformance but he posts on here regularly and seems to have a few satisfied customers.
