Right guys with any luck I\'ll be replacing my fuel pump on saturday (weather permitting).  The only thing I am going to have problems with by the looks of things is getting the pipework off.  Anyone got any methods for removing the actual fuel pipe where it comes out of the pump itself.  I had a go last weekend and couldn\'t get them to budge.  Is there enough spare hose for me to cut them off and still be able to get them on?

Also can someone with an Apexi let me know what the voltage should be going to the pump with just the ignition on?  Mines reading a little over 3volts which I think is a bit low but want to check for sure.

Put some pipe grips with a cloth around them and twist :)

Don\'t cut them, there is no spare length! Make sure the hoseclips are right off the hose, if you just slid them back hey could still be gripping the pipe, it goes quite far in. Try a little wd40 at the open end and then twist the hose a little bit, should start to budge. Just be careful not to damage the hose!

Also, have you released the fuel pressure yet? If you don\'t you are gonna get you and your car sprayed with petrol, you don\'t want it in your eyes!

Finally, careful when you remove the 8 screws, I had to drill and retap 4 of mine which was not fun!

Excellent thanks for the advice guys I\'ll be sure to release all the fuel pressure first don\'t fancy going blind quite yet!

Anyone know the voltage for the fuel pump on an apexi when you first turn the ignition on?

Remembered to check for you today, mine is 3.63volts. Remember it\'s a dual voltage circuit, when the throttle is opened a relay switches the pump to full battery voltage.

Coolio thanks dude.
Well I swapped the fuel pump over on saturday (massive thanks to DaveHG for having a spare one sat in his shed) and she fired up first time.  Took her for a nice long spin and had no problems at all.
I\'m a happy man again!
