Not a plea for help this time, more just venting some frustration. I\'ve been working through the FSM putting all the bits back on my rebuilt engine and got to the turbo fitting stage. Whilst pondering where the hell the turbo oil feed has disappeared to I realised where those two funny pipes hanging round in my box of bits go. Right under my freshly installed rats nest!!!!

I missed that stage in the manual. It\'s right there in black and white. I\'m so :spanked off, it\'s taken most of the day to get that stuff together! It was going so well, now I\'ve got to tear it apart again :(

You know how it\'s done now so 2nd time will be quicker :cool

Good luck.

The sad thing is I\'ve done it twice before. I should know better by now :o

Cant you just use your own pipe? dont use the stock hard pipe and get some braided oil hose. Will look better and dont have to remove the rats nest again.

I feel your pain bud, done something similar with the rats nest myself, there\'s nowt more demoralizing than having to undo your work to fit something and then put it all back together a 2nd time.
:Laugh LOL

Thanks guys. At least its out of the car. When I did this the first time a couple of years ago I\'d re-done the rats nest on the jap engine I bought, then put it in, only to find that one of the loom connectors didn\'t match the UK car. Had to do the whole thing again with the proper one, but on the engine in the car.
The braided option does look appealing tbh. I\'ll mull it over tonight and tackle it tomorrow one way or another.

Feel your pain. I broke a wheel bearing when replacing them on the FB (my daily driver) and it took 5 weeks to get the right replacement parts (Collars) . It was in the manual in black and white as well. Man I wasn\'t a happy bunny !

Thanks. Don\'t feel like quite such a prat now. I did manage to break an OMP line while stripping it back down. Have two spares, one of which is also broken, and the other doesn\'t have the protective sheath on it. Does it matter?
