What power/torque will the standard drive shaft and diff (aftermarket 1.5way) take?

Looking at a v8 conversion and not sure what people do with the diff and drive shafts. They look quite girly to me so wondered what people do to uprate them?
The car was running 550bhp before and didn\'t seem to have issues with the shafts/diff but the torque comes in a lot sooner with the V8 so it\'ll shock it a lot harder.

dont worry dave,  i still love you.   :)

you have lots of answers on the fduk thread so i will just add that your rz diff, if its the proper 4.3 is the one that all the trackday guys want as its better for acceleration but more prone to wheel spin,  i would have thought kinder to the diff as its easier to move the car with the higher ratio diff.  If you have a 3.9 for example the car is harder to move so the weakest link will break,  just a thought.  Suck it and see with the V8 and take it from there!
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!
