Ok heres the question that has really been bugging me.

My RX7 is a 1995 m-reg import, i know there are quite a few small variations on the FD, Type - R etc etc

But what is mine? The serial info says TYPE-RB Special Edition but no matter how much i google and search i cant find information about it?

The only Type-RB i know of is the Bathurst?

What is my car???

Cheers Rota gods :Giggle

Guess this is a stupid question lol

Just wanted to know what type of model i have, ie top of range, bargain basement model or extra HP etc etc

Anyone wanna help me out with this noob question?

You would think there would be a stickie somewhere with this info on.

Doesnt matter what FD you have, they are all special :yes

Hi Found this hope it helps or is correct;

"2001.01 : The type R Bathurst, based on the Type R, was intordcued. The type R Bathurst is equipped with height adjustable dampers and fog lamps. The name BATHURST was chosen to commemorate the Bathurst 12-hour car race in Australia, where the RX-7 was victorious for three consecutive years (1992-1994)"

Hah, there are a lot of \'sub types\' on FD..but all of them are \'special edition\'.lol
i don\'t know why mazda put the \'special edition\' at the end....
mine one is type RM.

It is indeed a type R-bathurst. Limited to 500 units but with no particular \'upgrades\' over the standard models

The special edition bit is a catagory of the plate. If its empty its just a RB.
There was a thread about this a while ago.
 Not saying your car isn\'t a Bathurst as i haven\'t seen it. But should say Bathurst in the special edition little box.
