Dodgy Speedo

I\'m still trying to buy myself an RX7.
 
Went to look at one yesterday and the Speedo seems to be playing games.
 
Seems to peak at the right figure but then just drop of.
 
Is it likely to be bodged KPH/MPH converstion?
 
Dodgy VSS?
 
Just a loose connection?

Is this for an FC or FD? I think the FD speedos have this as a known issue.

The capacitors/supressors blow in them, common fault. Easy enough just to get a good second hand one, i think it have 2 working one lying about somewhere if you need one.

Probably £15 + p&p i think. It\'s not to difficult you remove the plastics than remove the cluster. Than you can swap it over to brass bolts hold it on to the cluster. Just a bit fiddley.

All the warning lights seem to come on at the same time the speedo goes weird, still sound like im replacing the right part?
