I got a HKS FCD to fit to my 90 UK Turbo II. But I\'m not sure how to wire it into my ECU/PFC F-con. I have the PFC F con instaled and i think i need to wire in the FCD somewhere in the harness conecting stock ECU to F-con one but dont know where to splice wires to?

I have red, yellow, white and black wires coming from the FCD. I think black is the ground and red the power but dont know where yellow and white go.:3Confused:3Confused:3Confused

Thanks guys.

Hmmmm not sure bud, but I know joola89 installed one on his. You could try askin him on one of his threads (he don\'t come on here anymore so this will be best way of getting hold of him). Does the F-CON not remove the fuel cut then?
I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

Get your finger out, get it on the road and start driving it then!!! (B.Martin 25/2/12)

Prof

some of the FCD\'s just plug straight into the wiring harness next to the map sensor - by the shock tower.

You should be able to tell by looking at the connectors.  If it\'s not one of those types then best off checking the web for a pdf.

It goes in by the ECU iirc. Mine is on the shock tower though.

This type goes into the Fcon harness somehow but i cant find out where.

I think i need to find the preasure sensor or airflow signal wire on the ecu harness and splice into that.

Anyideas where that is? What colour it is?

Cheers.

Prof

It\'s the pressure sensor wire you need.

You want the wire that goes into Pr - 2H - middle connector - bottom row - 4 in from the right.

Not sure which of your yellow and white wires are the signal in and signal out

Ahhhhh Prof, once again you have provided the knowlidge i need!:god

Love you man! Ha ha!

I know where the yellow and white go in relation to that wire but it was the location of it i was unsure of. Once again big thanks manny!:Giggle

Jimi_Hendrix

BTW which would be the best wire to get a live feed from on the ECU harness?

Ta!

Prof

go with that B+ wire on the ECU - that\'s live when ignition is on

i think you can tap it into the pressure/MAP sensor harness aswell to be honest - saves getting to the ECU

Prof is that B+ wire anything to do with the rev counter? Because i spliced my live wire into that and the rev counter wont work. I saw 10PSI on the boost guage though so my FCD must be working right?

Thanks.

Jimi_Hendrix

Ok so i put that B+ wire back to the way it was and the rev counter worked again.

Have i spliced in my FCD live wire wrong? Or will it for some reason just not work like that?

Where else could i take a live from in the passenger side footwell? Dont really want to route a wire all the way to the fuse box beside the pedals!

No - B+ is the switched 12v feed from the main relay - so it\'s live whenever the ignition switch is on.

Not sure why it\'s affecting your Rev meter

The wire you want is the bottom row - right most connector and right most pin on that connector.  If you\'ve got a multimeter or voltmeter - you can check that you\'ve got the correct wire by sticking the red probe on that pin, and the black one on a ground somewhere.
