GOOD NEWS!!An alternative for the Apexi Ecu!!

More tuning tips from the frozen wastelands of Yorkshire!! What with the restructuring problems that the makers of the Apexi ecu and the recent price hikes due to the cretins who run the world, me and our Grant have been doing some thinking(not too much as it makes my brain hurt) and we came up with a viable alternative(cheap too)!
         After extensive top secret testing we can now reveal this alternative. Basically we have sort of rewired a Sony Megadrive and used Grants RX as a test bed. A number of programs were tested( actually Sony refer to them as games) and the results were quite promising. The first one we tested was Sonic the hedgehog. Just by installing the program(game), we found an instant power increase and came close to beating Thrust IIs land speed record, however,Grant had been ....ing about with the rear wing and the extra downforce held us just short(Sonic is quite short anyway). The downside of this was forgetting to remove the program overnight, let me tell you, getting into a low car and sitting on a snoozing hedgehog is ....ing painful, I was picking spines out of my arse for weeks afterwards.The next program we tested was Afterburner. This really came into its own when we were being chased at high speeds by the filth, the .......s must have been secrectly testing something similar as the astramax van they were in was the fastest thing I\'ve ever been chased b!However, the flames from the exhaust when the afterburner lit ended with the boys in blue being sort of , well Toast:flamed!!One other program we tried momentarily was Streets of Rage. Unfortunately, this seemed to make the fuse on my temper even shorter and we soon ran out of runners,cyclists and silly old .......s in hats and Morris Minors to anhialate.Watch this space for more alternative tuning  tips. Maybe you should try Hooking up the Sega Mega CD system as a piggyback system as well! Then the posibilitys would be endless!................. or slightly altered one of those two.

Interesting research. I have a friend who has linked his automatic garage door system to some old 8 track stereo units salvaged from seventies classics. Minutes before he leaves home the garage plays a variety of hard charging music to the car. The theme from Rocky seems to be very effective alternative to the more obvious heavy metal selections. On his return, when the door closes again, the car is bathed in meditative whale song as it cools down. He claims astonishing results. Even if not actually faster it is a far more rounded individual as a result of meditating after the race home from Morrisons.

For the sake of the planet, what programmes could you use to improve fuel consumption?

My humble grovelling apologies peeps,I don\'t know if anyone has noticed but there are some factual inaccuracies in my report above- well one anyway. Thrust II doesn\'t actually hold the land speed record, that honour actually goes to Thrust SSC (as in Super SONIC)!!!!! Just thought you\'d like to know.
      Oh, and while we\'re on air, those dummies out there that didn\'t get my reference to global warming(\'global warming, its nowt to do with me\')-and there were a few-as I don\'t have a greenhouse I can\'t produce greenhouse gases- geddit? No? It doesn\'t matter( I didn\'t think it would). PSJimi Hendrix,send me some money you ....er!!!!

PPS. As for saving the planet,how about terminator in an RX7 with a chain gun(two chain guns) and lots of bullets!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!(Anyway, anyone who owns an RX7 is definately not an eco nazi).For the record I don\'t actually own one but try to keep my CO2 prodution as high as possible by talking rubbish(or is that methane from bull....) and doing 99.9% of the work on our Grants!! .... \'saving\' the planet,it doesn\'t need \'saving\', what arrogance from the human race but thats another thread.
