after replacing semi-syn oil with mineral, FD runs noticably smoother and eager to rev? Anyone had any similar things happen?

I run mineral & it always revs well ;)

The Mazda workshop manual recommends mineral oil and they should know?

its not that it used to run poorly, its just that it seems a lot smoother now.

i thought exactly the same thing after replacing mineral with semi-synth!

i\'d imagine any type of fresh oil allows the engine to run a bit smoother, repeated heating and cooling killing off oil\'s lubing ability and all that.

I thought you were supposed to run mineral oil in these cars? I always have anyways....
QuoteImpossible is just a big word thrown around by small men who find it easier to live in the world they’ve been given than to explore the power they have to change it. Impossible is not a fact. It’s an opinion. Impossible is not a declaration. It’s a dare. Impossible is potential. Impossible is temporary. Impossible is nothing.
