nopes,,, i got hassled for it DAILY all the way through the build
( cause it was visible in the carport )
and i stupidly agreed to a price before i had finished the panel and paint

-- within 20 mins of that photo
,, it was driving down the road with a new owner

i had just finished its license inspection ( equiv to to your MOT )
i drove it there and back,, took pic,, walked inside for congrats coffee,,

----and the buyer to be drove past !,,,, doh

-- it came to me with a 240Z motor !! ( original LA22H )
so i swapped it all back with a 13b RESI 6 port engine with niki carb and rx4 4 speed / light fly with 4.1 setup
and did the panel and paint jam job
also twin sway bars all around,, and also an extra leaf
,, and it handled very sweet in the few km i had it

Jojo

Oh no!! Sounds like u did a lot of work to it too...must\'ve been gutting to see it drive away before u\'d had a chance to play with it properly!! :(

I\'ve been so lucky with mine-I bought it already set up with a bridgeported 12a running a webber carb and an rx7 4 speed gear box. Stan (the guy I bought it from) had done a lot of very good work to it that I\'m now benefitting from (thanks again Stan.....I\'m looking after him for u)!! :D

Glad u\'v still got ur 2....what u havin done to it?  Looking forward to seeing some more piccies when u get it back :D

the
rx
2 has just about had it all over the last 19 years
( actually,, its never had a bridge engine )
12a, 13b,
then both 13b 6 port, 13b extend port weber 48,,
then both supercharged with twin HIF7 SU ,,
,, then turbo charged 13b,, then turbo 13b 6 port hybrid motors
( last 5 road years or so with hi flow turbo s4 6 port motors built with ported turbo centre plates, rotors, and oil pump )
then there is the big diff and disk brakes and all the hidden stuff
- always all my own work ( though my bro fabricated my brake brackets )

its been in panel paint for far too long,, normally something i do 100% myself,, this time,, the only time i contracted something outs
( actually mutual exchange work )
-- and i got burned badly,,,,so i recently disinterred myself from the arrangement
so only so far engine bay is done,, and i have to bare metal ( again ) the rest

the lower set is a very early ex rally s1 rx2
i brought back from a shell and sold to a mate

( all this work is primitive,, i know,, its circa 1995 !! )

Excellent!! Thanks for the piccies. :D  Sounds like an amazing car-shame u\'ve had all the hassle with getting the paint sorted!!  Ur probably better off doing it urself though I guess if the person who was meant to be doing it wasn\'t that interested....at least this way u know the job\'ll b done right!! :D  More piccies when it\'s finished please!! :D

This car is a work of art.....

RB RX7

Bought my first new Mazda RX3 in \'73...you know the rest...been addicted to rotary power ever since. I put 280,000 on this one.

RB RX7

My first new \'76 RX4, 5 speed 13B...put 288,000 miles on it until it was stolen in \'88.

Had it prepared by Tri-Point Engineering into a suedo Trans Am street racer...love RX4s.

RB RX7

My silver \'73 RX2 bought in \'75. The yellow one got away...owned by Jim Tanner general mgr at Racing Beat, bought by his father.

Had 95,000 miles on it in this photo back late \'90s, only non original part was RB ignition wires. $2,500 and absolutely mint. :Snoring

Thought id add to this thread with some pics from my computer...

These i took a goodwood breakfast club last year at Sushi Sunday

Funnily enough i saw the red one parked on brighton seafront last weekend... nearly crashed my car trying to turn around and stare at it!

These two were taken by a friend of mine on a visit to Scotland...

and saving the best till last... i took this on my camera phone whilst buying some king springs for my old datsun outside Wilkinson Suspension in Perth, Western Australia in 2007.
