just joined as a full member but trying to access some of the members forums and not getting into them?

Casey

^^Spoddy, the membership process is not fully automated, so it will take a short while for the payment to be acknowledged and your membership upgraded on this forum. If still a problem in 24hrs, post up on here and I\'ll investigate.

And thankyou for joining up to support this community :wave

^^ I\'ve escalated the issue for attention. Not sure what has happened as this process normally takes place fairly quickly.

Please can you advise if you are RONALD CLOUGHLEY as I emailed you yesterday morning, using the email address shown on Paypal asking for your username so I could amend access and have had no reply to it.

I just need to check if you are the same person before I can amend access.

Welcome aboard :D

After about 2 hrs, a lump of wood and big hammer the back bumper is back in one piece. The metal backing was all bent but wasn\'t a big job straightening out !

One of the reasons I love the FB is how easy the thing is to work on. 25 year bolts, either they come out easy or the head shears off :Giggle

lol, thanks Lisa, I went onto my old email connected to Paypal and have sent you a reply.
Thanks guys for another welcome lol, I know it costs money to keep the club running, but its very good and really great having friends who can help you out and be your eyes and ears on my FB quest.

I will see how the homefront goes for me and if it doesn\'t work out, I\'ll check the mainland. Spied another FB in Scotland again, dunno if you all seen this one?

did any of you see the 3 rotor 20B engine?

http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/jdm-mazda-rx7-cosmo-eunos-20b-3-rotor-engine-series-c/81903719

Not an FB but just in case any of you thinking of going nuts in a project...Steve, Ian lol

Also there is this one

http://www.gumtree.com/p/cars-vans-motorbikes/mazda-rx-7-1985/82063943

Now its very local to me in N.Ireland and on the road etc, its about 12-15 miles away, but think its a bit out of my price range, which is why I had asked about how you go about putting the value to the FB.

A guy I know from another rotary club site had told me about this car, but he didn\'t think it would be this kinda money. I don\'t want to waste the mans time, but if it was like it rooled off the factory and now rot, then it would be worth it. I know of another mint green coloured one which has had alot of money put into it, I was told about a year ago for £2600.

But maybe its because there are not many over here that they are that price?

almost every 1st gen tha\'s been offered for sale on the mainland has been noted in this thread.... the most a 1st gen has sold for in the last 2 years was £2600.....  most are making well under £2000, under 1500 quid most of them

spoddy

Thats what I had seen Ian when I was reading through the pages of this forum.
I know that you get what you pay for. If the car was in really good order and you don\'t have to spend any money on it then I suppose £2600-£3250 etc is cheaper than paying for welding, parts and time to rebuild one.

No pics as yet for the red fb in Newry N.I. so I dunno if you have her on your list? Unless you have a location to go by?

David Nock (RIP)

Nothing in Newry Spoddy, though I have got a red one noted in Armagh. The guy got it from Mazdabits in Newtownards, according to an IROC post in 2009.
I\'ve no Reg for that one either so whether it\'s the same car or not I don\'t know.

Thanks for the Scotland one as well. I hadn\'t seen that. looks like a nice car.
But does anyone else agree with me that the spoiler will do a good job of unloading the back end, if an FB ever goes fast enough to worry about that?
I do like the inset rear fogs.
