Blimey you are observant!

The white S2 will likely be not very far from me.

I\'ve logged it straight to scrappers file. We\'ll see what happens, maybe a runner? Engine shot says nope, but then if the body is reasonable.......mileage I think looks like 97,860 or thereabouts??

It beats me why anybody would leave such a thoroughbred to rot away like that :Hammer - they should be castrated or something more painful. :Grrr

A good parts car for someone who already has an Elford.

Castrated or something more painful!I can\'t think of anything more painful!

Rotten doors & front wings are\'nt a problem[easy replaced],rear arches & floorpan main concern.

It is a shame, how many Elfords left 10?Daaaaaaaaaavid!
ta stu..

Rust really seems to be getting to Fb\'s now, most of the cars are advertised as scrappers/parts cars.
At a guess,i\'d say in 7>10 years all remaining Fb numbers will be halved.

I would tend to agree with you on this Stu.
I am probably wrong in my assumption that the majority of owners must know how scarce these cars are becoming and I don\'t understand why owners won\'t treat the rust before it gets too serious?  Ignorance or simply stupidity perhaps in some cases?

most of the parts cars and scrappers turning up for sale nowadays have been off the road for many years and the youngest are 26 years old now. The rust was probably taking hold when they were 10 - 15 years old and needed to be dealt with then but I suppose in the early 90\'s, 1st gens were just old bangers and nobody bothered.
It\'s the old story.... cars are desirable, then a few years on fall into the old banger catagory and then into classic status but by then, loads have fallen by the wayside.
The few that are now left  in roadworthy condition are most likely quite well looked after.

It\'s getting even harder with the cost of fuel. Plus they don\'t have a large following compared to say ford escorts.

I know I\'ll have some more practice with the mig welder once the weather gets better.

OMG !!!   WT* !!!
Hold my head in shame, there\'s nothing I can do this year (I haven\'t got the space) but I would love to get my hands on this one.  It\'s one of the colours you either hate or adore - I\'m the latter.
I just don\'t understand peoples logic, I\'m speechless.

As for the owner - should be put into \'Stocks\' and anything but everything thrown at him and left to rot. :Grrr
