Quote from: myatt1972;722137You got some bottle posting that! :D

Especially after someone despicably altered Daves picture to make him look like Inspector Blake!

Quote from: gnj37;722107David the silver car vin no is  JMZ FB131200662375 . I thought that this was a series 1 car but the owner tells me there is discs on rear would this be series 2 car ? gary

Yes, the \'FB\' in the VIN says it\'s S2 (I\'m sure that only the S2 and S3 have FB - the S1 has SA22C in the VIN). Also the 66XXXX series is S2, the S3 having 70XXXX at the end of the VIN. I\'d date 2375 as sometime in 1982 but not absolutely certain of that.

Thanks Gary....Dave.

Quote from: gnj37;722116Also from enniskillen  my wife says she saw a soft rx the other day is she right?

I wouldn\'t think so, not as a 1st Gen. I\'ve only ever noted one and that was a conversion. Presently in East Midlands area. So far as I know there were no factory \'verts sold in UK.

Perhaps your wife saw a 2nd Gen?

There were some USA convertibles though. A factory somewhere used to do a few?

Quote from: captainbizzaro;722123You\'ll have to use photobucket or something similar.

You can use direct attachments - though you have to be able to resize the pic. Anything larger than 1000 pixels on the longest dimension will not upload.

If you can resize, when posting, go \'Advanced\' and just attach the resized pic from your desktop. Up she goes; you then complete your message as normal.

Apples are wonderful for the resizing \'cos they have iPhoto and you just export from your library to the desktop, resizing as you go.

I didn\'t think guests had the attachment option Dave? Agree with you on the Mac front I\'m a full blown Mac fanboy!

Inspector Nock may know.

don wyatt

As you boys know I am eagerly awaiting the inspection of a possible purchase of a S2 RX7. So much so that I am clock watching.

I am thinking also about if I do, which i probably will, come home with the car, will I change it, in that I mean, will I update its interior and body colour.
If i do, it will be done pretty thoroughly.

Interior removed, engine out, before prep and re-paint, and again if I do, it will be in highly glossed dark cherry red/claret/wine colour.

Do any of you chaps know anyone that has refurbed a FB interior to leather ?

Don.
