Not in bed yet Don, I was getting excited for you as I thought you were viewing tomorrow not next tuesday.
If it turns out to be the s3 that was for sale a couple of weeks back it looks a very nice car in my favourite colour.
Get it bought and get the Rx7 bug :yes

I\'ve been in an hour or so - been trying to get the side repeaters operative on JAZ in preparation for MOT - what a nuisance it is, the earth isn\'t very good!  Okay - bl***y git of a thing, everything I tried it just laughed at me and didn\'t work but these are all part of the joys for owning and caring of the FB\'s - Don watch out.

Its definately that one Keith, for sure.
Isnt this the more common colour though ? and have many folks on the circuit changed the colour of theres, or this considered forbidden ?

Its just that I always wanted a really deep gloss ruby or claret type red car, then i spent a fortune on a 240z, and painted it blue (doh), so promised myself ruby/claret in very high gloss next time around, maybe cream hide interior ?

Also check the drain holes to the roof panel and rear hatch as these can also bring little surprises, also make sure that if you buy to keep them clear, I use a plastic coated flexible wire as used for net curtains.

   Good luck

Seems to be the green ones that get a colour change, if Ian had his way it would be law :D
I think its your car do what you like with it, its another 1st gen staying on the road so thats got to be good. Dont think anybody on this forum would say otherwise.

After Sunrise red Tender blue is my favourite, as for the light green I\'m with Ian.

Quote from: don wyatt;721919Yes thanks Cliff.

The remaining Mag 6 are pretty quiet tonight, must have had their cocoa a while ago now, probably all tucked up by now eh. :Snoring

Don.

Been working at the Daughters yesterday (Mon). Gosh....6 hours solid work and I was really tired out...getting OLD now folks. So didn\'t log on yesterday.

So we\'re pretty sure it\'s C147 TMX we\'re looking at then? goodoh, looks nice and sounds nice. The VIN (stamped on plate on the bulkhead) will be JMZFB13120070XXXX ....those last four digits XXXX are the car\'s serial No. and we think the last one was 5582.
TMX should therefore be in the 5500\'s I would have thought; as said somewhere above, it was 1st Reg on 1st March 1986.

Our Gus came on the ship in Spring \'86 so may have travelled with TMX

I want to be Charles Bronson in the MAG 7.
Or which one kept notes of all the palaminos, piebalds and other \'osses they rode? I want to be him.

I\'m certain this is the one half buried in a field in Hinkley a month or so earlier. I couldn\'t get the Reg then. Only 1 scrapper with a defunct Toyota motor I would have thought.

I suppose I\'ll have to be Yul Brynner then..... cool... charismatic.... but more on account of my bald head!

Ha Ha! Quite right! I\'d introduce a special scrappage scheme for them.... no discount or money off, just if caught on the road.... straight off to the crusher.
In all seriousness though, it\'s your car to do what you want with it. I\'m the type that just can\'t settle with a car if I don\'t like the colour, no matter how nice the condition is which is a real problem with 1st gens as due to the shortage of supply, you really have to buy on condition alone, there aren\'t enough about to be fussy about colours.
I sold my last one which was really quite nice and bought one in a poorer cosmetic condition just because I couldn\'t settle with the colour and preferred black instead.
Each to their own!
