Is the overall trend for road going cars up or down over the last 12 months?
76 known cars seems very low

Well Dave you\'ve set up one of the most popular threads on the whole of mrc,not just 1st gen section.:spank

As regards Tim,he must like pain stomping into stinging nettles in flip flops & starting a major project on his Fb in the British winter, think of the last 2 we had to endure!

Quote from: David Nock;719781Count reveals the following S3 cars are Opal Green Metallic:

Roadgoing............6 out of 47

SORN/Project........12 out of 87

Unclass (No Reg)...3 out of 20

No S2\'s or S1\'s have appeared in this colour. (That\'s 70 S2\'s and 23 S1\'s).
Cheers Dave :Typing

So it would seem that it was solely an S3 colour with a maximum of 21 in one form or another ...... hmmmm maybe 1 day I\'ll look at picking one up if I can.

As said by many others Dave, this listing is a credit to you and your many deputies and you must be congratulated for your dedication to the cause.

Out of curiosity then, what is the most common colour for the 1st gens and secondly is there a localised area where most cars can be found ?

Cliff
:cheers

I was quite taken by the reg so contacted the seller and questioned the legality for roadworthiness but he insisted that it was nct and tax exempt and didn\'t need an MOT - I cannot believe that would stick if taken to court.
Not wanting to be stung I decided not to bid but regardless there just seemed something not quite right about this rex to me.

Me again the fuses that are at your right knee beside bonnet opening lever aside is there any more main fuses as i have lost power to the alternator  i was touching wires and must of blown one i have also checked the fuse links at ns strut tower they seem to be OK or i have i done it wrong i assume that the wire loop is the fuse and ideas gary

shaunwil

You can replace them for standard slow burn fuses (the ones that are square) instead of the cable fuses.

Can\'t believe there is only 47 S3 on the road at the minute. Amazing when you think the number at rotorstock this year !

Quote from: johnnyboy;719734Hi there.
We live about a half mile the other end of Tardebigge tunnel - just opposite the old Engine House. Give me a ring next time you are in the area and have half an hour to spare - I will make you a cup of tea...

Not sure if this one is known, but in this weeks classic car weekly magazine:

Quote1986 £950 ovno Petrol 2300 engine, light green, exellent cond, 4 seater. Just fully serviced, Almost new tyres, exellent alloy wheels, 11 months MOT, contact for more details. 07846 820314, 01383 831721 Kelty Fife.

Reg blanked and no mileage but sounds a bargain! In the picture it looks more blue like mine so it must be quite light green if there was such a thing?

John will most probably give us the nod when he\'s road going but I do a check across the board occasionally so things don\'t get missed.

I guess Elford were stronger in the early years of the 1st Gen rather than in the Series 3 years??? Any other ideas?

We are going for an MOT tomorrow... Wish me luck....

Good Luck for tomorrow John.
