Has a  Met.white/Ivory car turned up yet? It was finished with a \'Mariah\' wide body kit, trimmed in full custom leather and for sale at Hayling Isle N\'r. Potsmouth about 2 years ago. about 3.5K  i.r.c ?
Was very tempted at the time.

A series 2 has turned up - Elford, retrimmed in White Leather. Could this be the car? I\'ve got the Reg and the VIN but unfortunately the net report didn\'t give the colour. In auction 2006 in Surrey, not sold?

Not sure? maybe based on that, but this car dfinetley had a Mode One Mariah body kit and finished in Met. pearl-white. Full leateher trim, may of had red piping.The owner told me the previous owner to him had the parts brought over from the States.I have never seen the car at any shows just on this guys driveway.In the next few weeks I\'ll go have a look again you never know?

I was Very tempted at the time to buy the car, the guy had know Idea of the body kit other than from the states. i went home and weighed up cost of importing my own kit and putting a car of my own  together but other things got in the way (as they always do) and the project was forgotten.

Hi dave,
my first gen C784SPA is coming along quite nicely and am nearly ready to start fixing up the body/chassis. am trying to sorce original sills to fix the rust problem properly.
i\'m in the middle of fitting some FD seats an still chasing electrical faults (almost becoming a joke) but it\'s coming on slowly. if i can get the sills soon it might be back on the road end of next month.

just to ask, my boss has a TWR black 1st gen s1. it\'s in a bit of a bad way with rust but runs spot on. got any on record. will get you the reg later.

also we\'ve got and elford turbo engine (12a smoker) sitting in the engine room. do these use the same rotors? was thinking about getting it for my car. aren\'t they supposed to be quite rare?

Thanks James...Your Reg is entered now. The Black TWR I think I\'ve got.... it should be XXX 521X.....is that right? About 37,000 miles on it only? Can that be right? Only got 10 Series 1\'s on record and only 2 TWR\'s amongst them. S1\'s seem pretty rare now.

I think the Elford kit used the same engine as the stock 12A car but I\'m no expert in Elfords or upgrading for that matter. My strength is knowing how to hold a stock 1st Gen street car together (more or less). Anyone else can answer James??

As for rarity - yes - I\'ve only noted 10 Elfords in my whole list, which is 141 cars now, made up of 10xS1, 31xS2 and 100xS3\'s

yep that\'s the one dave. looks like a nice car but does need quite a bit of tlc to get in good order.
am looking for an mx5 for my daily drive as my fb is taking a bit longer than i originally planed. you know how these things go im sure.

One less, now that it appears my Maya gold with TWR racing bodykit and matching wheel trims has been scrapped by the .... who nicked it.  Forgive me if I sound a little bitter, but I seriously doubt there was another one that looked exactly like mine.
