Dose,nt appear to be any rust on the lower panels, but plastic don\'t rust...
Maybe FD mirrors.
Wonder what kit, maybe mariah widebody from US?

If you\'re gonna change the rear lights ,why on earth would you use lights from a trucking spares catalogue?

I reckon the RPM guys should take on the Elford at Tim\'s place.

Funny you should say that......

I\'ve contacted the rest of the RPM and asked for their opinions. We\'ll only get serious if no-one on the MRC wants to buy it - we don\'t want to bid the price up for anyone else! The other factor is that it is in slightly worse condition than what we are aiming for, but I\'ll see what the others think. We are thinking more of "Preserve", whereas that on is bordering on "Restore"

Anyone else thinking of bidding for this one?

Not the right colour for me but it is a car worth bidding for - so go ahead and bid, good luck.

For me, part of the joy of owning an FB is getting the hands dirty and understanding the workings of the body and its\' heart if need be.  I also understand that not everybody has the desire nor experience for restoration but then, I\'m no expert - but at least I have the enthusiasm and dedication to try and in doing so, this results in \'preservation\'.

^^^ Keith, if you get it for £250 it\'ll be a real bargain! I suspect the reserve is a little higher :(. Keep us informed if you get "out-bid" and are dropping out, RPM might then re-assess. In the meantime, we\'ll stand back.

There don\'t seem to be any shortages of FB\'s coming onto the market!

I was thinking of bidding just to get the aircon - so few had it. Lack of aircon is the only thing I regret about Miss January. Goodness knows how difficult the swap would be. Awful I suspect. And presumably you guys would want that as well...

Thanks for the pics
What or who are RPM?
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

one of my FB\'s had an aircon button but no aircon,  also, due to the age of the car it is bound to leak and you woudlnt be able to fill it up with the gas that it was designed for.

Excuse me being Nerdy, but what is that bit of trim in front of the rear wheels?

Keep talking there....
Don\'t they take the same gas (and presumably refill fittings) as modern cars? It never occurred to me that the wouldn\'t.
I was thinking that if I had the pipes and general "special to RX7" gubbins, I could always buy a new compressor / condenser etc. Or is this idea rubbish? Be aware that you are in the process of destroying a dream.....

Hi Malcolm , will do. I had a look at it last time I was down tims, made a comment on this thread  about it. Was hoping to pop down and try and do a deal with Tim before I see it was  on eBay :(. Its a honest car. Just the paint is the down side. .

my view was that as long a you\'ve got the whole complete system, you could convert it ( or have it converted from the old R12 gas to the newer R134A gas... you\'d want to replace the seals and o rings anyway on a car this old.

Bit of info on it here...
