Quote from: don wyatt;722438. If I\'ve got reservations about the colour, I can\'t settle with the car.

Me too Ian, but im gonna wait and see if I can live with it in blue, if I cant I will do a full change, interior and engine out job. :eek

Just JOINED UP boys, so I had better get this motor :Giggle

and.............................you have to put up with me for a bit longer :wave[/quote]

Don, rather than go through the exercise of the potential purchase of TMX and all the modifications, colour changes etc, have you considered the possibility of the dark green S2 \'TRH\' which ends tonight - current bid of £450.  At least this already has the beige interior, so that would keep the cost down for restoration project.  Then you\'d only have the colour to address and then check the power unit and drive mechanism out.  Hmm..... have you already placed a bid?
Just a thought mate.

TRH was in Sheffield before being trailered to Somerset for Resto. Without wanting to hurt the present seller....

TMX looks the dog\'s jollies to me....away with all this nonsense about colour, if it\'s as good as it looks get TMX bought and tucked away up your drive Don.
Then get a red coach line down the side and bomb about. Look lovely on Tender Blue Don::::Yuk.

Quote from: RamoNZ;722253For Sale in this weeks CCW:

1984 76k miles, £1200
Very clean example, mint body and interior. Never been welded and just undersealed. Runs and drives well. New MoT. Aftermarket alloy wheels with near-new Goodyear tyres all round. Spare Engine and gearbox.

I have contact details if required, car based in Durham.

No reg though - pic is terrible! Looks like a tender blue S3 though.

Dave - do we think we know this one? Sounds like a bargain!

Hi Ramo, no I don\'t think this one\'s been seen. CCW seems a bit non web friendly - no advert views possible? that seems daft to me.

Can you let me have any email details if there are any? I tend not to phone people because of the cost, I just send a groveling email for info usually.

Cheers Dave.

Hi Dave,

Feel free to call me \'Ramon\' as this is actually my name - I mixed my name with my place of birth using the \'N\' as the link - clever stuff huh! :)

Dont worry though, people have and still do occaisionally call me \'Ramo\' so Im easy either way if you want to conserve on letters typed.

Regarding the email, I will post it up (not sure if it actually has one) when I get back to the magazine and yes I fully agree - completely absurd not to post adverts on the web!

Thanks,

Ramo, Rammo, Ramon, Rimmon, Raymond, Rayman, Roman, Ramone - I could go on... :)

Hmm, It dont take much to confuse me chaps.

I hear what your saying guys, but the main attraction for me with TMX, is the one owner, pampered life, 53k miles, and from memory, sound, solid and in super condition. (obviuosly I will need to confirm the latter when I see it up close and personal on Tues)

I agree the one on the bay looks nice and for such silly money, (whats that all about), but ive bought on spec before and it rarely works out. If TMX is what i hope it is, then its gonna be bought for under a grand (one hopes). Will keep you all posted with some pics on Tuesday evening.

Which reminds me, I am a paid up member now, wheres my club status and priveledges ?? think it still says Im a guest ? anyone ?

Could someone give me a quick run down on the rx7 first gen scene for members (or non members come to that)
looking through the Forum threads and topics, its a right old jumble, you cant really tell whats what.

Does the First Gen gang, get together and have a yearly meet ?
or is the entire Mazda Rotary Club at one show?
What is the show called /is this the rotostock event?
Is it at the same venue each year?
Are there any part dressed women pics SORRY SCRUB THAT,  are there any pics of the yearly event?

Thanks somoene !!
Don. :xconfused

Ian65

I think the 1st event of the year is the Brooklands meet. I\'d love to go to it, never been as it\'s a right jaunt from here. Dibs (A7RXY) went last year in his lovely 1st gen and took some great photos...

http://mazdarotaryclub.com/forums/showthread.php?t=64062

This is a club event and owners / enthusiasts of all rotary models attend.

Rotorstock is more of a track event at the Santa Pod drag strip. I think this year may have been the last. I went this year but track days etc aren\'t really my scene, I prefer the more sedate type of event such as the Brooklands meet.

There isn\'t a 1st gen only meet but funnily enought, we we discussing it the other  week on here saying we should meet up for the day....

Quote from: CHC;721771Last time on eBay this one ended on 8th Sept and only made a top bid of 460. So we\'ll have to wait and see its\' destiny.

So this time TRH sold for £629.99 - wasn\'t you by chance Don?

Ian thanks for the response (again) your a very helpful chap.
I think we must be alike, Im not much of a speed, octane and nitrus fan, I too prefer the classic side of motoring, I must show you guys some pics of my Datsun 240z, which ws a total rebuild project cost me a small, sorry, a large fortune, but apart from a colour change, remained original format.

No guys I didnt buy the one on ebay, cheap thats for sure, but mileage ? had to have been round the clock I think. Also I am a bit wary of those that have been under the welders torch, once the rot sets in, theres no stopping it.

Don.

here are some pics of the 240z. I had this old crate imported from California, left hooker of course, then had it completely dismantled, converted to RHD, and completely restored from ground up.
