 Hello Davide,

I have previously noted this car from Santa Pod 2003 photos. Unfortunately I don\'t know the owner\'s name or where the car is now. The car is in my section of \'unknown locations\' on the list of FB Series 3.

Does anyone else know who it is and which part of the country the car comes from? 2003 is a fairly long time ago but I cannot believe it will have been allowed to die in the meantime.

By the way, numbers of cars has become steady now. 10 Series 1 (SA), 34 Series 2 (FB), 120 Series 3 (FB).

Cheers David

Archbish

So, I\'ll swap you the number plate for some VIN info...

The plate C 816 ...  the rest is at the end after I\'m helped.

soooo, I am having to stamp a new VIN plate for the car as I\'ve mangled and lost the previous one.  Obviously VIN Number & reg plate are on the V5 document along with any other info I need to put on it.  But could someone dish up what the different lines on the VIN plate are for (colour, shoe size, star sign, etc)?

Also, how the hell does one have an engine number for a car when a rotary doesn\'t have an engine number (or does it and I haven\'t noticed...)

I\'m sure the 12A has an engine No.....but that\'s not on the VIN plate.
On the attached photo you\'ll see what\'s on it.
This plate is from a 1984 B reg that I pulled for parts some years back, BUT I\'VE TAKEN THE LAST 4 NUMBERS OFF THE END ON PHOTOSHOP. Otherwise the plate is identical to the one you\'ve mangled. The NTA number is common because my 1985 runner has the exact same number.
All UK FB\'s Series 3\'s are JMZFB13120070XXXX where XXXX is your individual car number. Have you still got that hammered into the bulkhead metal at the side of the VIN plate mounting place?

I was keeping this plate for sentimental reasons but I\'m a sucker for worthy causes if you want it.

E mail me your address \'cos you can\'t PM and I\'ll send it to you - if you want a scabby old plate that is.

What Happened??

PS the number in the bottom right corner is 8455B, presume the part No. of a blank plate.

thanks for the offer dude, but I\'ve got a blank one on the way to stamp up.  The VIN number is still on the chassis, and on the V5!!

Good, so if you just stamp exactly as the photo, with your own last 4 digits you\'ll be back to original.
