Assuming that its for an FD, I may have a couple of photos that\'ll help. Sorry about the crap quality pics, though.

The easiest way is to replace the stock BOV and plumbing, which comes off the Y-pipe. The stock BOV is a circular brownish thing, a bit like the one circled in red, which is the Charge Relief Valve. This one wants to stay, so make sure you replace the right one! The spigot on the Y-pipe is arrowed in yellow, which needs 19mm hose to run to the dump valve IIRC. Doesn\'t really matter where you mount the valve or how long the hose is, but obviously the shorter and less convoluted the better!

The next bit is to run a vaccuum line to actuate the dump valve. Most straight-forward way is just to use one of the nipples on the UIM, there\'s usually at least one capped-off unused one, depending on whether you\'ve got a boost gauge or anything else extra fitted. In my photo below, it\'s the braided line arrowed in yellow, just run it from the UIM to the top nipple of the BOV.

Don\'t forget to cap off the unused union on the airbox/filter/whatever you\'ve got fitted left by where the stock BOV used to plumb in. You can see mine in the bottom of the second pic, I just used a short length of hose with an ally blanking plug.

And that\'s it, bosh, sorted! :Thumbs-up This is just how I\'ve done mine, so please bear in mind that there are loads of different opinions on where the best place to take-off the valve actually is, some people think it should be on the intercooler, some near the intake elbow, etc, etc. I feel the nearer to the turbos the better, which is why I\'ve got it as it is, but there\'ll probably be all sorta people wandering by now to tell me why I\'m hopelessly wrong! :D

thanks mate thats how i thought it had to go just wanted to make sure so i plumb the bov into the first pipe on the y piece

Anyone got a guide for this on an FC turbo II? I just got my Blitz SS BOV through today :Thumbsup! and i kind of know how to do it but not 100% sure

I take it that its been welded to that hard pipe?

If so, you need to undo the 2 intercooler couplings, top and bottom,

Undo the pipe from the BAC valve (careful there will be water)

Swap the current hard pipe with the one with the BOV

Do up both couplers tightly (bottom one is a pain to get to lol)

Connect the vac line to the top of the BOV

Make sure you have plugged up the hole where the recirc valve went (VERY important)

Admire :)

This is it fitted:

Ha ha! Mitch i used that pic to help me out from when you posted it in the "decat question thread! Lol! It was handy! Cheers! Its on now and working....... kind of, read on! Lol!

The bov was bolted onto a metal pipe with one "spout" coming off of it. I managed to fit it but the spout was on the wong side of the bloody pipe!

The only way to fit the thing inbetween the two intercooler pipes meant i had to have the spout facing out towards the airbox instead of in towards the fecking BAC valve! GRRR! So in the end i had to gypsy fit it! Lol! used a length of garden hose to to loop round and back to the valve! ha ha!

Christ knows how the last guy had it on there! LoL!

It works but as soon as i can i\'m going to try to fix it proper!:D

m1tch

Perhaps you have managed to mount the BOV upside down if the sticking out bit is the other way round lol :D

Jimi_Hendrix

Its hard to explain but i litteraly COULDN\'T get the begger to fit in any other way!:Grrr The way the BOV had been bolted onto the pipe meant i had to have the spout facing out. Pain in the arse! But it seems to work ok. When i get a chance i\'ll figure something better out!:Giggle:rolleyes:

I\'m driving along and although i havn\'t fully spooled up the tubby yet it still gives a nice "Ka tshhhhhhh" when i change gear! :mmmm:mmmm:mmmm

m1tch

Hmm perhaps yours is adjusted differently then lol what is your max boost level? mine seems temperimental lol

Jimi_Hendrix

No idea manny. I have a boost controler sitting here waiting to go on along with my PFC F-CON but i cant fit it until i get an aftermarket boost gauge. So its still on stock boost set up with stock ECU i just never spool it up more than say just bellow half way (after 0) on the stock boost gauge?

How do you mean temprimental? I see you comented about yours giving a little chatter on another recent thread? Mine hasn\'t done that at all. Just a consistaint "Shhhhhhhh" on lift off of throt.

Sounds bitchin! ha ha!:mmmm

m1tch

You happy that I suggested it lol its a dual port, so yours might be slightly on the soft setting and mine isn\'t lol it should be quiet on low boost, then all hell breaks loose when I get it to open the larger port lol :D

Jimi_Hendrix

Ha ha, yeah its a great piece of kit man. Like i say though i havn\'t tried it on full boost yet as i still havn\'t got a boost controller or an FCD:2Confused

m1tch

Get that boost gauge in as soon as you can. get a mechanical sort and you will see how inaccurate the OEM gauge is, here is a taste of the OEM boost gauge:

"The boost is there at a certain pressure at some point"

This is how accurate the OEM boost gauge is lol so get a good one :)

Jimi_Hendrix

Ha ha! Yeah just fitted a mechanical boost gauge yesterday! Lol! And you can see the diferance! Especialy before positive boost!:Laugh
