can you specify what dock it goes to - liverpool would be handy

can you legally drive it out the dock if its insured on the chassis number or do you have to get it moved on a low loader ?

This is a grey area, I did this on my FD and got stopped twice by the Feds, each time I stated that DVLA says you can drive from the docks straight to your door if you have insurance, which I did.  Think driving around for 200 miles without plates gave me away and I think next time I will not bother for the hassle it causes. Well I was pretty sure I could do that anyway, did read it myself somewhere on their site.  Another thing about driving the car away is that you really dont know what has been done to it and it could have been sat for months in Japan and another Month travelling the seas.  Most cars only go through the auctions because they have passed their sell by date in japan, good for FC\'s but not so good for the FD\'s as most come through needing a rebuild pretty soon after.  Saying that its still a good place to pick some bargains up but at the rates at present its cheaper to buy within the UK and know what you are buying.  My white FC for instance will get max probably £4500 at the right time, you would be lucky to buy a high grade FC from Japan given the taxes/shipping etc and the exchange rate for that much.

If you are going spoilerless you NEED to go window wiperless... in fact all FCs should remove the rear wiper.. I\'ve got some spare buttons if anyone needs to fill their hole? :)

If Jit knew that he\'d be a millionaire betting on the fx spread :Giggle.

Though, the £ is dropping straight off the map atm, some analysts say it\'ll pick up in the 2nd quarter of 2009, some say 3rd, some say 4th- nobody really knows, the whole global situation isn\'t great.

I\'d stick to what\'s already here & landed, hell, the Euro is about to merc us too.

yea the problem is the fc\'s seem to be getting rarer. Im pretty sure there was only about 3 TII\'s for sale a while ago. Plus the Jap ones are likely to have less rust. Lets hope the pound picks up :D

There has always been plenty of nice fc\'s for sale in Japan. Just depends on the wedge of your wallet.

Quote from: Speedline Imports;564676Still quiet a few nice FC\'s in Japan, I nearly brought myself this the other month but as Jit has said, the exchange rate has plummeted and its just not worth it at the moment.

Oh yes this is my one now due to land next week in Ireland..
