yeah saw that, been running with my tire combo for the last two years never had tracking problems like that guy, I suppose my tyres being treaded ET Streets probably helps.
But yes need skinnies for less rolling resistance

Mark its makes no difference that your tyres have tread,your tyres are the same as mine- et streets with bias ply,not the radial version.Mixing bias at the rear with radial at the front could cause problems especially as you now have more power and terminal speeds should be increased.James runs the radial version so doesnt need drag tyres up front,i remember chris"s runs last year when he had drag tyres on the back and normal wheels and tyres on the front, at top end the car was all over the place,as soon as he put the skinnies up front the car ran alot better.Be careful and be safe!!!!!:Thumbsup!

just been browsing this section for the first time and I\'m just curious to know what times other people have achieved from relatively unmodded rexs
 
In May at the PTM show at santa pod I ran a 14.14 @ 99.82.
Mine is a uk FD with mods being:
3 inch exhaust
BOV
tein superstreets
265 x 18 back and 235 x 18 front (kumho supra ecstas)
 
next mod is obviously an apexi power fc but currently the engine internals and ecu are standard uk spec with standard boost on the twins (237bhp is what i\'d expect). I\'ve read in a few places online that the standard Japanese R1 (255bhp) should run a 13.9 @ 99.9 in ideal conditions, so mine looks very close to that.
 
What have you guys run on relatively stock rexs? what can i expect with a power fc, decat and downpipe? (power and 1/4 mile)

Hi can i get my times changed. best time this year so far is 12.4 at japshow. only managed a 12.5 @ rotorstock

Yep Im going on Sat and Sunday dude. praying for good weather for the Sunday, we should see James W bust into the 9s, his engine is producing even more power at very very low boost not bad eh seeing as its a street driven car still lol
