Quote from: Retro_Boy_G;562313Sorry to off topic, but whats the deal with the raised bonnet? I\'ve seen it on a few drift cars..

I think its to aid dropping temp in the engine bay.

Retro_Boy_G

Ahhh.. thought as much.. i\'ve actually grown to like them kinda.. but i would imagine you would get loads of people saying "Hey mate, your boot is open."

TiddlesRX7

Yeah its to allow more cold air to get under the bonnet or allow more hot air out. My mate has done it to his Skyline.
I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

Get your finger out, get it on the road and start driving it then!!! (B.Martin 25/2/12)

Does it still open from the front?

TiddlesRX7

Yeah you just put some riser blocks under the hinge of the bonnet. I\'ll take some pic\'s next time I see him/his car.

ppl say mixed things about raising the back of the hood as there can be backpressure which does not actually allow hot air out.. that wot i heard..
