Hi all, can anyone help, after re fitting my freshley re-built engine and bleeding the brake/clutch system (was removed while re-spraying the engine bay) the clutch just hits the floor, its a twin hard plate RE Amemiya clutch and lightened flywheel with HKS release bearing any advise would be greatly apreciated, thanks Ade.

Bobbit

you checked the pipe that is next to the uim, mine split and caused similar probs, or could be your master/slave cylinders. was the clutch a new one? If so the arm that pulls the clutch from the fly could be bent, this is a common failure after a clutch change
:Laugh LOL

Will check those out mate, I hope its the 1 of the easier problems, just wondering how would the arm get bent? when I put the engine back in I just slid it strait onto the gearbox, was I supposed to do something with the clutch system? thanks again Ade :Thumbs-up

Bobbit

The arm get bent due to the heavier load a new clutch will put upon it. Especially if you have put a stronger plate on. Try gary at rotaryarts as he was very helpful when I had probs with mine

hi m8 did you clip all the bits together when you put clutch in, there is a ring thing that locks to the plate forgot to do this once and the piston just pushes out and dont do any thing. jack car up and take inspection plate off and see what its doing when a m8 pushes the pedle down

Hi mate, its got a HKS clutch release bearing which doesnt lock onto the cluch plate, I think its been changed from a pull to a push clutch but not sure yet, will check through that inspection plate you have mentioned so thanks for that, have spoken to both Clive from here and Pip from WGT and am going to change the master and slave cylinders just in case and bleed it through again, thanks again :Thumbsup!
