Does anyone know the max width of an FD? I guess mirror to mirror is the widest part. Need to know if its going to fit in the garage before i go and buy one!

Kevin

Body is 1750mm wide, wing mirrors can be folded up along body line.

Shouldnt you also allow for opening the car door to get in and out??...

Nah, the only property i own is the garage, i just sleep in the car usually.:Giggle

My garage has pillars that restrict the opening width, once your in theres plenty of room to open the doors.

Cheers for the response, should fit a treat!

Youre doing it all wrong......The FD is a VERY special car.......so you buy one, THEN build its own garage if it doesnt fit.......

Now you think I\'m crazy! haha

ps. got a nice red FD you could buy off me! :Giggle

I measured my garage up, RX fits in but first I must get the misses car out, park the RX in and then drive the misses car back in, either that or squeeze it in and use all my yoga skillz to climb out the passenger side. didn\'t have a problem when I had an elise, used to park the front end in chock the wheels and the push it in the rest of the way. RX is to heavy for that!!

Sleeping in the car is a good idea.
Once you have it in a "standard" garage, it\'s a bugger to get out of it.
