As there is alway so much talk about reliablity, Im just curious about car origins and problems. This is really basic and there are to many things to take into account, price, mileage, mods.

i got my fd thrugh a pall in the army on some tax free import thing hes had going for a few years, the car cost £3,700 and apart from needing a new battery all seemed fine ,the first problem i had was getting hold of LHD head lamps, that cost me 630 euros, the import was only 540euros and customs was 180euros so in all a bargin. :D just after xmas the radiator blew so that was another 600 bucks( euro) and as i was in Iraq ,well still am until the end of april, the wife had to get it done, it had been damaged in japan and bodged but didnt show up on the auction house inspection report. If I wasnt here I would have got it to UK to get it all checked and engine done but that will have to wait until next year until i can get the money together, still this years money is paying for ferry tickets to get to the car shows.:cool
