Ohhh Im 2nd - cool. (and 14th!) Cant complain!

Please remember that Hub power isnt the same as rear wheel power, the transmission loss will me smaller on a car dynoed at the hubs.

How\'s that!? Perhaps i need someone to explain more? but how can you have more losses at the hub, than from the wheel which is about 25cm away, and goes through no mechanical parts that will need to frictional losses!?  :xconfused

somebody tell him,  i have to go for a shower!
400 BHP - 650 KG\'s = 616 BHP Per Ton of Rotary Power

That\'s the way to do it! :Thumbsup!

Ok, i have done a quick trip through the internet, and have identified that there is tyre resistance that adds another factor into the equation. Plus there are other unknowns that can occur, including tyre slippage.

antnicuk

i\'m back and clean now......

basically the more the engine has to turn before the reading is taken the more power is used up before it gets to the dyno.   it takes energy to turn componants, the more you have to turn the more power is taken.  Most people will quote the figure that the dyno produces (a.t.wheels or a.t.hubs) as there doesnt seem to be an accurate figure that the drive train uses (18% seems favorite for wheel power).

If you had a 50 ft long propshaft and 4 ft wheels you would see a much bigger drop in power than if you could attach the dyno to the back of the gearbox.

BB - When you do your next round of editing. Details for position\'s 7 and 8 needs to be changed over.

 :)

Oh good spot my mistake Freddy.

Maybe I wont need to swap as John will be hitting the dyno tmoz and might pull bigger figures

I doubt if an 8 will make the dyno chart anyway with out changing it to a Proper 13B turbo lol :rollin Jokin

Bolting on a Greddy seems to have done the job for Tim!

In the quarter mile thread a bit like this one I was top for a while... OK, so I had the ONLY entry, but I was still class leader. :D

Um guess there\'s a chart going on somewhere but here\'s my dyno sheet anyway.. this is mapped on 95octane running 98octane with 1.1bar of boost no WI or charge cooler or silly shenanigans. Once i\'ve finished my work hoping for another 20rwhp and the girls to strip off and collapse at the roadside worshipping the car. Although will be happy with just getting it running again :)

I\'ll now go read up on the rules and find out this is a thread of coronation street or something.

Edit: HP in chart is ATW.

BlitzBoy

Are you running standard twins?, the chart is a sticky on its own in the same section as this thread

Hi yep, stock twins not hybrid nor clipped, no porting, no WI. Next re-map and run should be in May and hoping for about 5% increase once i actually get my act together, which means i should be outside right now :)

Cheers.
