Looks like I have sorted the problem now guys!!
The thermostat was starting to open at 60c ??? here is a pic of the NEW unit malfunctioning:


Basicaly guys, if you change one or are going to change one, check it before you strip the car apart!!
Sorry for the poor pic, camera phone & steam don\'t go together very well!!!
