Right i thought it would be a good idea to pull my rats nest apart, on the pretence of simplifing it.

I had a right mare with the little screws that hold the back of the rats nest down, and ended up snapping it off !

Now i have read all the threads i can find and it makes my head hurt. Can someone confirm what solinoids i need to keep ?. I am also thinking of going non seqential, so can i remove anymore.

what i have removed
acv
double throttle
egr
idle control valve (there was a blanking plate in kit,so off it came!)

this is the diagram i am thinking of working off to put back together

I\'ve also put up some info here:

But that\'s the right diagram... You don\'t need the hard pipes off the rats nest, I just got rid of them all and only used some rubber hose and so far it\'s all been perfect!

thanks guys !

i have read all those bar the link from hamc ! do i need to reg to see ?

does anyone have a pic of whats left if i go non seq ? and what do you all do with the solinoid plugs ? cut them off or leave them on ?.

kinda wish i didnt start now as the car was fine before !

RemarkLima

I just tucked the spare plugs from mine away, didn\'t want to cut them off incase I need the engine loom for anything else ;)

I know the feeling mate ;) But it\'s all worth it in the end... I also put some viton check valves in as well and the transition seems a lot quicker now, but that\'s probably psychosomatic from all the effort to get it working again.

If you go non seq Luke, dibs on your 3 solonoids that controle the transision for the second turbo ;) mine are still giving me grief & I\'m getting peed off only using 1/2 - 3/4 throttle!!

might of got a problem ? can solinoids be swopped about ?
I have snapped  charge relief, can i use one of the others with same number ?, if not then i guess its full non seq.

And then jono theres one good one still !

Jono FD3

DOH!!!! Lol, is it the one with 2 or 3 nipples (ha ha... Nipples) you have broken mate?
Haven\'t got one spair, but just thought I\'d ask ;)

Right !

Am i being thick ?
all of the solinoids are 3 nipple, just some vent via little filter !

So can i use any one ?

They all have the same number stamped in them AESA127 but then there is white numbers 2B2,2B1,2E2 ???

please help as i really am beginning to hate my car

RemarkLima

Don\'t quote me on this but it looked like you could use any of them TBH... Just pull the little filter off the end if you need to. Tho\' IIRC one of them is only a 2 nipple jobbie.
