my fc kinda suffers from a slightly wonkie steering.
usually it goes in a straight line without any pulling to left or right but on some roads it pulls to either left or right!

is there something wrong with the steering or is it a combi of lowered car, maybe some ohlins kit (not sure though), camber on roads etc..?

when acc or braking it seem to go straight on super smooth flat roads.

cheers

Have you had the cars tracking/camber check or set recently? When I first fitted the coilovers to mine it pulled which ever way i had turned last. Once I had it in to a garage and set it up properly its much better. It still does pull ever so slightly if I\'ve been on full lock but not like it was doing (think its to do with it being on stiffer springs). Also make sure all your tyre pressures are ok. Depending on what road your on will effect it also. The inside lane of an Mway is normally grooved as its used the most and I find the FC tracks in and out of the grooves a bit.
I don\'t need to upgrade my stock turbo to beat your ass!

Get your finger out, get it on the road and start driving it then!!! (B.Martin 25/2/12)

Could be toeing out slightly and reacting to camber in the road profile - does it feel realy \'loose\' on the steering - perhaps even slighlty twitchy ?

I thought something was wrong with mine on the way home from buying it. Was all over the place at first. Think its just an FC thing cause all my previous cars havent been as bad for it.

i got the tracking done etc..

the steering is not loose. only kinda twitchy at times but i think may be the grooves in the road.

think its just due to the grooves in road as happes often at same place n road but just asking incase it could be sth else =)

Could one of two things (assuming its not the camber)

Dragging brake on one side
Shot DTSS bushes on the rear
Brap Brap Brap Brap

If your FC has been lowered... Then you will have increased camber and toe in, both of which will cause road surface tracking. Even after you have the tracking done this will only eliminate the toe in. As there is no adjustment for camber... Unless you have adjustable camber top mounts.

im having similar problems with my fc (its stock). How much does getting the tracking done usually cost?

Around £20-£30 I think I payed originally, but with the coilovers it was more like £50 cause they did the top camber adjustment also.
