I have read n seen a few people with these gas damers (pete & nik).
what make are yours? and have anyone tried other makes?

i brought a set from ebay (stokie tech) or sth like (cheapish & sheite!) that but they are not strong enough to hold the hood up! even though it sais its for the fc stock hood.

it might be ok to keep the alu hood up (though not 100% sure on that) BUT def not strong enough to hold the stock TII hood up. it just falls back down =(

That\'s weird, Liam, cos mine are the Skokie Tech ones, and I\'m pretty sure Pete\'s were the same. I can understand if the ones I have weren\'t strong enough, cos the FD bonnet\'s ally so very light (not sure if the FC bonnet\'s the same?) but if they work ok on Pete\'s cab, they should be fine on yours. Maybe they\'ve sent you ones with the wrong rating? Might be worth sending them an email, see if they can send replacements. I guess faling that, Tein do them (in nice Tein green lol, should match your paintwork really badly) but they\'re best part of £100 and I dunno if they do an FC fitment

Cab\'s have ally bonnets, the stock TII bonnet is made from bloodyheavyium and weighs a ton. :Giggle
 
You may have to find an ally bonnet for it Liam - at least another bit of a convertible will live on elsewhere !

i know alu hoods are lighter but dunt really want to spend on alu hood when im thinking about going carbon fibre later on.
not worth spending 50+ quin on hood just to use soe cheep 25 quid dampers lol

have emailed the seller but was jsut wondering if there were anyone other recommeneded stuff out there. tein r expensive!! plus green!!! on red car lol
