Not really sure, you want Grinder on that one as this has been covered on here before and i am sure he answered the questions. I actually have the infinitie horn button, thats got the badge on it. Think most of it was cosmetic though.

In the spring of 1992, the coupe RX-7 replacement, the third generation RX-7 (FD3S) was released, however Mazda continued production of the FC3C Convertible until 12/92 as a 92 model year. The 92 Convertible was identical to the 91 versions except that a tan interior seating and door surface color option was added to the line up.

now thats interesting - as my 1991 cab has those options on it ??

is there a way of finding out when it was made from the chassis number or anything like that ??

In theory yes - but you\'d have to find someone with the data - perhaps Clive might know.

As for the infini model - from memory it had different seats, uprated suspension and 220/221 BHP at the fly, plus one or two other bits.  They are very rare :mmmm

Remember this is a US quote and it also refers to the NA convertible (the US never got a TII Cab)

If I remember right the infini only came in green or black and had torsen differential, bucket seats momo stearing wheel strut brace and the ecu had been adjusted slightly!
