Hiya MRC,

was driving my FD home last week and the car started making a squeecking noise from the passenger side and then the car died... i was stranded in nowhere. Before this, the clutch was perfect wasnt slipping AT ALL, was catching on sharp. Now it starts, but as soon as you put down the clutch, the engine cuts out with similar squeeqing noises, so not sure whats up... its a OS-GIKEN twin plate clutch...

any ideas on what this could be please?

Thanks peeps

The OS-Giken is a Gen 2 style push type clutch and to make it a pull type you will find an adapter pivot that replaces the stock clutch fork,

I suspect the adapter pivot has seized so try removing the belhousing inspection plate and first spraying release oil toward the back of the box trough the hole if poss with somebody working  the clutch then move onto a spray grease as release oil drys out

Hope this helps
