Hey guys. Thought I would post up an update of what iv been doing with my fd.
Well firstly, she went down to the paint shop. When I bought the car the paint work on the doors was in need of some attention and the front bumper was in a sorry state. It had scuffs and cracks everywhere and some pathetic attempts of repair. A friend of mine owns a paint shop so she was off down to his for some TLC. And my what a job he did. The colour match was perfect and the repair work on the bumper was second to non. Was a very happy boy. Only problem I had was due to me being blinkered by the sorry state of the doors and bumper I didn’t ask him to fix the other little imperfections. But hey, there is plenty of time for that.

And how she sits now. Much Better

once I got her back from the shop, I finally got around to doing my v-mount. I’m really pleased with this mod, works great and also looks good too. I still have a couple of things left finish with it which im hoping to do this week. I did post up a thread on here about it but here’s another pic anyway.

I also have a engine to build. A friend of mine is doing an ls1 swap into his fd so at the price of next to nothing I got his blown motor. We pulled his engine in true driveway fashion and also managed it in relatively short time considering its the first fd we have pulled a motor from.

luckily I didn’t have far to drive as my little mid engined 13b Peugeot 106 was struggling.
[/SIZE]
got the engine home and into the workshop and my engine rebuild was underway.

its now down to the bare block and before I start to pull it apart im going to need an engine stand so if anyone knows of a decent one to go for shout up.
Here is what went wrong with it. The rear rotor has one blown apex seal and the front rotor has a score in it. Until I get the engine fully dismantled I obviously don’t know the full extent of the damage but im guessing its pretty fubared.

my original plans for this engine were to build it for a single setup and aim for around 450whp. Im now going to build it to stay with the stock twins but with scope to go single in the future. And that’s where im at for now. if anyone has any recommendations or suggestions about anything im about to start please say. Your experience would be appreciated

I like those wheels on the black Rex, are they Watanabes (sp?). Proper Initial D stylee. Paint or your blue un\'s shiny enough, looks great. Are those sidelights an R-Magic thing? Look different, do they not have a lens cover, or are they just the two separate lights?

Funny how you thing a 13B\'s a really small engine until you see one in the boot of a 106!

haha cheers mate will try that next time. well the plan for the engine is to build it with the capabilities of single and 450whp for the future, but not to over build it for the stock twins which is what im going to run it on to start with. yeah the intercooler works great, sure its a ebay jobbie but its bar and plate, big end tanks and a big core.

they are two seperate lights mate and no they dont have lens covers. i have no idea where they are from but i personally really like them. haha it wasnt funny trying to lift the engine out of the 106. had to call in backup.

looks like a 2fast2cool intercooler, but the turbo side of the cooler\'s been altered (twisted round so the pipe exits more towards the center)

Just for info yes they are R-Magic lights, and the lenses are availible in both clear and smoked.
