haha... glad to hear it turned out ok, and your powersteering works!

Unfortunately there are garages out there who will play peoples naivity and lack of knowledge so it\'s understandable that people will be paranoid and jump to conclusions.

And rusty bolts... the less said the better.

Well sometimes by filling the tube it does take a lot of time out of constantly having to turn the wheels a million times, the more fluid you can cram in the better 1st time around.  Sometimes an airlock can not be shifted and this does help somewhat.

I wonder if they gave him a better deal because they caught wind of what have being said in this thread. :rollin

I don\'t think that anybody should feel guilty for trying to find where his money is being expend as it\'s hard to pay the bills and taxes with the current economy climate.
I don\'t like it either that we are suppose to pay more because our cars are special. For me, nuts are nuts and bolts are bolts it doesn\'t matter what car it came from.

Labour charge is roughly the same across garages (rotary & not)... Just get used to the idea of labour being expensive or learn to do the work yourself... or go to rxmotors for half the going rate p/h.

Shiuko - you always end up paying more to see an expert - for anything.  You could take your car to a cheapo back-street garage, but you gets what you pays for (more or less).

As for Rotechniks giving a better deal due to this thread - doubt it - they have been similarly good to me for various bits in the past (after initial higher price quotes etc)...
