Ok well i wanted to go electric water pump but also wanted to get rid of the whole ugly assembly so i did a bit of measuring and some design and this is what i came up with
anyone who has looked into this will know if you eliminate the water pump assembly on a fd you also have to move the alternator from where it sits due to the fact that the alternator bracket is part of the water pump assembly most of the time this means side mounting it which eaither means doing away with the power steering too ....
this is the thing i wanted to overcome with this bracket all pulleys still line up belts are still the same and it gives you lot more room to play with too...
so anyway here are the pics would love to get some feedback from you guys regarding this .....so tell me what you think i have a few more things i will explain after too

alot of us who used to run ewps on fd\'s mounted the alternator down where the aircon pump used to be :)

NVMYRE

yes but what if you still want your aircon buddy ...we have temps here in excess of 45degree celcius some times and then when your out at the track in your race suit and helmet the guys here dont like to get rid of their aircon
i know you can move the aircon
i have also made another bracket and dropped my power steering down to where the aircon was so i can run 4" piping through to my throttle body

You\'ve got me slightly confused ! Will you weld an inlet pipe to the front and side of the housing ?? Which direction does in inlet goes on the bracket ?

Looks extremely good and really impressed with the single belt configuration. I\'ve still got the stock housing on the EWP with a blanking plate and the alternator is on a separate run to the rest. Makes belt tension a lot of fun !

Very cool peice of kit and thread. Was it machined from a single billet of aluminum ?

hi thanks...yes it was machined from one solid piece ...as for the inlets you can put it whichever way you would like it in all reality we machined it up like this to give you the option of either welding on a dash screw on fitting or your standard type of slide on hose on which ever direction you want your setup to go cos obvioously no ones setup is the same so this allows you to incorporate it into yours rather than have to adapt it to where i put the outlets  ..i think i will be putting a AST style tank on the front here where you can see the opening just a small piece of pipe then the tank then that can be my hi point filler as well the reason there is no tank or fittings on this on is because i will wait till i put the engine in the car so i can work out where is the best place and direction for the outlets with my setup....
hope this clears it up a bit i will post more pics as i get around to doing bits so in the next few days
thanks again for your kind words and keep an eye on the thread i will put up the complete unit once done ....
