Was having a look on rx7club and came across the build on this thread:
http://www.rx7club.com/showthread.php?t=767061

In the text it says "RX-7 Stores Modified Koyo Radiator"

Then the pic shows the bottom pipe is welded shut and another one welded on at the top....

Wouldnt this solve a load of problems everyone is having with lower rad pipes and undertrays etc ? Basically is this a good idea ?

RX7stores.net sell them for $769 under a \'modified Koyo rad for v-mount\', if it is a good idea maybe the UK tuners could do something similar ?

Here is a pic of it from the RX7store site:

It\'s not just the pipe that\'s relocated - thet\'ve also cut off half of the end tank at the top, and then welded another half tank on - so the water passes through half the radiator to the bottom tank, and then back up the other side to come out of the new pipe.

If you just blanked off the bottom pipe and fitted another top pipe the water would only pass through the top end tank !

Is there no radiator refurbishers near you. May cost no more to get them to make you a bespoke rad that does the same. Still got duty and VAT to add to it too !

I havent looked into this, I just spotted it on rx7club and wondered if having both the pipes at the top was a good idea or not ?

could you still class it and sell it on as a koyo rad, as its not koyo that have done that to the rad?

also would the water not start to warm back up as it is coming back to the top and closer to the engine.
