I\'m trying to fit a diff brace but two of the studs that the bolts go onto are too short and as usual it\'s that odd non-standard Mazda thread on them.

It\'s the bits circled.

Does anyone have or know where I can get longer studs before Weds?

Cheers!!

Non standard mazda thread?? Modern cars use metric sizes now so there must be a metric nut or bolt that will fit. Try wickes, focus or B&Q

I doubt wickes, focus or b&q carry metric fine thread. It could be coarse thread but most things are fine on a car.

I seem to remember Mazda use either a thicker or thinner thread than the bolts you usually get, came across this on the Probe as well.

If I can\'t get any then they may be able to rethread it to accept a standard thread but not sure.

The stud that goes into the diff is nice and long. You can wind them out with an 8mm spanner on the end of the nut to get enough thread. Had to do it with mine not too long ago.
